1. Sing a song of people
Walking fast or slow;
People in the city,
Up and down they go.
People on the side walk,
People on the bus;
People passing, passing,
In back and front of us.
Word-Meanings-Up and down (अप एंड डाउन) from one side to another, इधर-उधर। Side walk (साइड वाक)-footpath, फुटपाथ।
अनुवाद : लोगों का गीत गाओ जो कभी तेज गति से चल रहे हैं तो कभी धीमी गति से। लोग जो नगर में एक ओर से दूसरी ओर आ-जा रहे हैं। लोग जो फुटपाथ पर चल रहे हैं या बसों में, लोग जो हमारे पीछे और सामने से गुजर रहे हैं।
2. People on the subway
Underneath the ground;

Word-Meaninge Subway (and) underground passage, fater Pfi Underneh (अंडरनीथ)-below, नीचे। Riding (राइडिंग) getting in, चढ़ रहे हैं। Pours (पोस)–उड़ेलना।

Word-Meanings-Stores (स्टोर्ज)—सामान रखने की जगह। Elevators (एलिवेटज)-lifts, स्वचालित सीढ़ियाँ। Singly (सिंगलि) alone, अकेला।
अनुवाद : लोग जो ऊँची इमारतों में और नीचे बनी दुकानों में दिख जाते हैं, लोग जो स्वचालित सीढ़ियों से ऊपर और नीचे आते-जाते हैं। लोग जो अकेले चल रहे हैं, लोग जो भीड़ में चल रहे हैं, लोग जो कुछ भी नहीं बोलते, लोग जो जोर-जोर से बातें करते हैं।

Grumpy people too;

Word-Meanings-Grumpy (ग्रम्पि) ill-tempered, चिड़चिड़ा। Hurry (हरि)–जल्दी में।
